SERMONS

As I visit congregations around the Northeastern Ohio Synod and elsewhere, they will on occasion record my sermons either by video or audio. Whenever possible and with their permission, I will post those sermons on this page.

This is not a sermon, but an interview with Sarah Werner, a creative writer who lives in Sioux Falls, SD; and former member of my old parish, the Lutheran Church of the Covenant in Maple Heights, OH. She hosts a podcast for aspiring writers. You can find her at sarahwerner.com. [Click on the microphone to hear the podcast.]

AT ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH, VALLEY CITY, OH – MAY 24, 2015

SPOTLIGHT – CATHOLIC TELEVISION NETWORK OF THE CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF YOUNGSTOWN
This is not a sermon but an interview with Fr. Jim Korda of CTNY. In October of 2000, shortly after the Vatican and the Lutheran World Federation signed the Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification, the Northeastern Ohio Synod and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown entered into a Covenant relationship in order to better understand our respective faith traditions. Together we pledge to pray, study, and act together with the hope of increasing that understanding. This interview, which aired in May, 2015, is part of the fulfillment of those goals.
